Countertops - Simon Kitchen

Countertops

Its uniqueness stems from the perfect combination of high-quality materials and design. However, in addition to aesthetic factors, it is important to note that the countertop is subject to the greatest level of stress in the kitchen. Therefore, it should be durable, resistant, of appropriate size, long-lasting and easy to clean.

Classic (laminate)

Used brands:
EGGER, Kronospan HPL

The most commonly used type of countertop is the laminate countertop. It is made by compressing several layers of specially impregnated paper (laminate) using resin and then adhering it to chipboard support.

It is available in a wide range of colours but can also be decorated with various material patterns such as stone, wood, or granite, closely resembling the original materials. Modern laminate is more resistant in many aspects compared to other types of countertops and is easy to clean.

It offers the advantage of being cost-effective and having a wide variety of options. We can confidently recommend laminate countertops for both modern and classic kitchens.

Keramik Arbeitplatten

Ceramic

Used brand: Dekton

The Dekton brand is recommended for those who appreciate the beauty and elegance of natural stone. Its surface is cool and completely scratch-resistant, making it ideal for users who may not be able to handle delicate surfaces with care.

Dekton is a new, compact ceramic-based material that combines over 20 different types of mineral powders extracted from nature to achieve the desired colour. This material is then subjected to a pressure of 25,000 tons and placed in a furnace at 1800 degrees Celsius.

It is particularly resistant to shocks and scratches, has high resistance to wear and can withstand extremely high temperatures (minimum thickness of 12 mm). With low porosity, it resists stubborn stains such as coffee or red wine.

Naturstein, Granit

Natural stone (granite)

Natural stone countertops, especially those made of granite, remain a popular choice for kitchens even today. Not only do they radiate elegance, but their unique brightness also creates a pleasant atmosphere in our homes. Granite countertops are available in a wide range of colours and abundant patterns.

Granite has an exceptionally long lifespan, making countertops made from it exceptionally durable and strong. It is resistant to cutting and scratching, and no sharp objects (e.g.: knives) can cause damage to its surface. Granite is highly heat-resistant and can tolerate extreme temperature fluctuations, even from hot pots and pans.

Its surface is easy to clean and, with proper treatment, can keep its shine for a lifetime.
